Hon. Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Commissioner of Education, has inaugurated the Technical Working Group for the Early Grade Reading (EGR) Programme in Taraba State.
Co-sponsored by the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC) under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the program features a Ten-Member Committee carefully selected to oversee the implementation of EGR operation guidelines in the state.
Hon. Dr. Godwin urged the committee members to get to work immediately, emphasizing on governor Kefas led government commitment to achieving tangible results under the program . She stressed the need for the committee to work diligently towards the success of the EGR program.
Engr. Uriah A. Yamusa, the Chairman of the Committee, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and her team for entrusting them with this responsibility. He promised to work hard to meet expectations and contribute to the development of EGR in Taraba State.
In the meeting were the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alh Idris A. Goje and the Secretary of the ministry, Mr Abel Bako Joachim.
