FREE EDUCATION: THE PERMANENT SECRETARY, TSUBEB AND HOUSE COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION MONITORS SCHOOLS IN JALINGO LGA

In the ongoing infrastructure reforms in the education sector by His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba state, the workaholic Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Alh Idris A. Goje, TSUBEB and Honorable Members, House Committee on Education, Taraba State House of Assembly embarked on rigorous inspections of infrastructures and furniture deployed to public primary and secondary schools in the state.
Goje who is at the heels of the reforms agenda ensured that the schools receive the furniture and other materials allocated for them for their smooth operations.
In some of the schools visited, the house committee questioned the technical officer on standard of the equipment used in the projects and their possible future guarantees.
The Chairman of the Committee, Honorable Josiah Angye frowned at the behavior of some of the Headteachers due to poor supervision of their teachers. He charged them to teach the children well and ensure they follow the curriculum.
The schools visited were Mohammed Nya Primary School, Mafindi Primary School, Low Cost Primary School, Jauro Isa Primary School, Kona Primary School, Jauro Ngbadi Primary School, Lasandi Primary School, Technical Center, Mass Education etc.
The team were led by the Acting Chairperson, Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB) Mrs. Rabi Sunday and some directors from the board.
