Dr. Augustina Godwin, the hardworking and dynamic Commissioner of Education in Taraba State, on Saturday oversaw the National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) organized by the National Examinations Council (NECO) for admission into JSS One of federal unity colleges nationwide.

The 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Unity Colleges was conducted on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, in all the Thirty-Six (36) States of the Federation and FCT, Abuja, as approved by the Federal Ministry of Education. Upon her arrival at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Jalingo in Taraba State, Dr. Augustina was warmly welcomed by the team of supervisors and invigilators.

Impressed by the proper organization and administration of the exams, Dr. Augustina commended the team for their efforts. She expressed concern over the low turnout of Taraba candidates, attributing it to the free education policy of His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas.

Furthermore, Dr. Godwin expressed optimism that, in collaboration with the ministry, boards, and parastatals, they would work towards improving sensitization efforts and implementing policies to encourage greater participation from parents and guardians in the federal unity examinations to ensure Taraba’s quota is adequately filled.
