THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TARABA STATE INTENSIFIES WAEC MONITORING ACROSS THE STATE
Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Commissioner of Education, along with the Permanent Secretary, Alh Idris A. Goje, and other officials of the ministry, conducted thorough monitoring and supervision of the ongoing WAEC 2024 Examinations in Taraba State.
The aim of this exercise was to prevent examination irregularities and ensure the smooth administration of exams throughout the state.
Currently, the 2024 WAEC supervising and monitoring exercise is ongoing in all the WAEC examination centres by staff of the Ministry of Education, PPSMB, SUBEB and Mass Education inline with WAEC examination guidelines.
During a press briefing, Commissioner Dr. Augustina expressed her disdain for any form of exam malpractice that could compromise the integrity of the exams. She emphasized the importance of adequate preparation in guaranteeing success.
Dr. Augustina commended school principals for their organization of students and examination halls, as well as external invigilators for upholding standards and professionalism in their duties.
She called on students, parents, teachers, and all stakeholders to cooperate and support Dr. Agbu Kefas in his efforts to improve the state’s education sector for the benefit of the children.
Schools visited during the monitoring exercise included Government Technical and Training School Jalingo, Government Science Secondary School Jalingo, Government College Jalingo, and Government Secondary School Jalingo.
