The Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Taraba State, Dr Augustina Godwin was in Wukari for the inspection of the ongoing school projects in the area.
At GSS Wukari, the Commissioner ascertained the level of work going on in the new model school being constructed and was pleased with the level and speed of work, quality of the materials used and the lprofessionalism of the engineers. She used the opportunity to also checked on how the Mock examination is going on in both schools in line with the policy of His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas free education.
At the MGGSS, Dr Godwin inquired about the feeding going on in the Unity school and was extremely impressed with the feedbacks she got from the students and the commitment of the cooks to ensure that quality meals are delivered to the students. She applauded the management of the school for their strict supervision.
Overall, the visit highlighted the importance of regular routine activities of the working commissioner to see things for herself and have interactions with students, teachers and education stakeholders for the success of the free education policy declared by Governor Agbu Kefas.
