TVETJALINGO2025: DR AUGUSTINA ATTENDS THE CLOSING CEREMONY; HARPS ON GOV KEFAS’ FREE EDUCATION

Dr Augustina the working commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Taraba State has stressed that the government of Dr Agbu Kefas is doing everything possible to revitalize the vocational and technical education system in Taraba State.

This was made known during the closing of the three weeks training camp of students of selected technical colleges in northeast Nigeria at the Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC) Jalingo.
During the event, the Director Vocational and Technical Education, Dr Olodo M.A representing the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, emphasized that the objectives of the workshop has been achieved tremendously noting that it arouse, promoted and sustained students understanding of TVET subjects in order to increase their enrollment in TVET and its practical applications.
The significant event gathered Vocational and Technical Experts and Officials of the Federal Ministry of Education, representatives of the African Development Bank (AfDB), representatives from NABTEB and State Ministry of Education.

Recall that, Taraba state government, under the leadership of His Excellency,Dr.Agbu Kefas the Governor of Taraba State, has Prioritise the Education sector, allocating heavy resources to improve and enhance the education sector and also to revamp the education system.
Furthermore, the commissioner, charged the students to be open-minded, curious, and enthusiastic in their quest to replicate what they have learned to their colleagues and friends.

Highlights of the event, were cultural dances, goodwill speeches and showcase of what the students learned during the three weeks which includes: tiling, painting, interlocking etc.
