FREE EDUCATION: DR AUGUSTINA LEADS MONITORING TEAM TO PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN JALINGO LGA

In her typical unannounced school visits across the state, the Commissioner of Education made a sudden appearance at Jauro Isa Primary School, Mayodasa, Government Day Secondary School, Mayodasa, Kona Primary School, Government Day Secondary School Kona, Tukur Primary School and Government Technical Training School Jalingo, Taraba State.

Welcomed by the Principals, Headteachers, staff, pupils and students of the various schools she visited, the Commissioner was impressed by the Principals and Headteachers’s efforts and unwavering commitments and dedication to duties.

Dr. Augustina encouraged the teachers and students to strive for excellence even in the midst of challenges. She used the opportunity to emphasized Governor Kefas’s commitment to improving their welfare hence the need to shun truancy and embrace hardwork.

Dr. Augustina also highlighted the significance of academic success in fostering further advancements in free education, spearheaded by His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, as some of the schools visited were already wearing a new look of perimeter fences, classrooms blocks and ICT facilities for modern technology education.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the Acting Chairperson, Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board (TSUBEB), Mrs. Rabi Sunday and the Acting Executive Secretary Post Primary Schools Management Board, Mrs. Elsie Yaruta Obadiah, Directors from TSUBEB and Post Primary Board, ES Jalingo LEA and NUT Chairman Jalingo LGA where the Boses of the two boards gave an encouraging remarks to boost the morale of the teachers.
