Dr. Augustina Godwin, the hardworking Commissioner of Education, was honored today with an Award of Excellence by Taraba News.
The CEO of Taraba News, Mr. Olayinka Gabriel, along with his team, visited Dr. Augustina at the Ministry’s headquarters in Jalingo to present her with the award. Taraba News is a highly influential newspaper that covers news in Taraba state and beyond.
Mr. Gabriel praised Dr. Augustina for her dedication to implementing the free education policy of His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas. He also commended her for her proactive approach and for the successful activities she had spearheaded in the ministry. He made special mention of the support from the Permanent Secretary, Alh Idris A. Goje, and the entire management team.
Dr. Augustina, in her response, expressed gratitude to Taraba News for recognizing her efforts and for shedding light on the good work being done in the ministry. She acknowledged the challenges ahead but emphasized her commitment to serving the children of Taraba. She also thanked His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas for the opportunity to serve and deliver on his mandate for the people of Taraba.
The Permanent Secretary, Alh. Idris A. Goje, extended his congratulations to Dr. Augustina and emphasized how the award would motivate the commissioner and the management team to continue their work. He reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to implementing the policies of His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas to improve the educational system in Taraba.
Also present at the event were the Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Abel Bako Joachim, and various directors.
