Under the successful free education program initiated by Dr. Agbu Kefas, Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Commissioner of Education, along with Permanent Secretary Alh Idris A Goje, oversaw the distribution of schemes of work and thousand exercise books to schools across the state.
The distribution event, held at the Post Primary Schools Management Board, was attended by the Executive Secretary of the board, Dr. Danazumi Hassan, as well as management, staff, and principals from the Jalingo zone.
Dr. Hassan commended the achievements of Dr. Agbu Kefas and praised the efforts of Dr. Augustina and the entire team for their dedication to the success of the free education policy.
Dr. Augustina reiterated Dr. Agbu Kefas’ commitment to transforming the state’s educational system and urged principals, teachers, and students to make the most of the materials provided.
The Permanent Secretary, Alh Idris A Goje, expressed gratitude to Dr. Agbu Kefas for the distribution of schemes of work, emphasizing the importance of preparing students for examinations without resorting to malpractices.
He also assured the principals of ongoing efforts to provide necessary funds and support for the free education program.
The principals present at the event thanked the Governor, the Commissioner, and her team for their hard work in implementing free education in the state.
In attendance were the Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Abel Bako Lau, Directors from the Ministry and PPSMB, and principals from the Jalingo zone.
