National Union of Taraba State Students Elects New Officials

The National Union of Taraba State Students (NUTASS) held its highly anticipated elections, resulting in the emergence of a new set of officials following a keenly contested race. The newly elected officials are as follows:

– President: Aliyu Suleiman Aliyu
– Vice President (1): Mohammed Julde
– Vice President (2): Lucky Daniel Chiyaman
– Secretary: Theophilus B. Danjuma
– Assistant Secretary: Nzereh Shehu
– Financial Secretary: Abdullahi Hassan Abdullahi
– Treasurer: Maxwell Danlami Yahaya
– Auditor: Timothy Yahaya
– Public Relations Officer 1: Abu Ardo
– Public Relations Officer 2: Shamsuddin Mohd Usman
– Director of Welfare: Danladi Shepherd
– Director of Sports: Idris Ibrahim
– Director of Socials: Abdul Razak A. Dani
– Women Leader: Hakeema Usman
– Provost Marshal: Tasiu Saliu Inuwa

Prior to the elections, the diligent Commissioner of Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin, emphasized the importance of unity as the National Union of Taraba State Students (NUTASS) prepared to elect its new officials.

Representing the student-friendly Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Commissioner warmly welcomed all Taraba students from different regions and encouraged them to uphold their commendable efforts in fostering unity, peace, and harmony within the student community.

She emphasized, “We are all united under the umbrella of Taraba. Together, we must work towards the development of our beloved Taraba State. Let us stand in unity and, in our respective roles, promote peace to support Dr. Agbu Kefas in realizing his educational agenda for the state.”

The Commissioner extended her best wishes to the students during the electoral process, underscoring the significance of their contributions to the educational landscape of the state.

Accompanied by the Director of Higher Education, Mrs. Sarah S.D Ali, and other student union representatives, the Commissioner demonstrated the government’s commitment to supporting and fostering a conducive environment for student leadership and development.

The successful election marks a new chapter for the National Union of Taraba State Students, and the elected officials carry the responsibility of advancing the interests and welfare of all Taraba students.
